Having competed in at least 5 State Meet events in 2002, the Orioles return over 15 Section medal winners and a host of fine athletes.

Early season review

Osseo strong in both Track & Field
With a number of returning state competitors and more than a dozen region medal winners the Orioles are working to be the best in 2003. The Orioles strong core includes Senior Captain Alissa Ochs who competes in triple, high and long jump, as well as 300M hurdles. She has competed in the state meet since 9^th grade and holds three school records. Senior Captain Monica Moreland is also a state meet veteran and strong distance runner. Senior Captain Angela Mooney brings experience on both the track and field and is excelling in throwing events. She is already exceeding her top section marks from last year. Junior High Jumper Holly Price also returns with state meet experience. Senior Captain Matt Mello brings state meet experience in the Shot Put and Senior Captain Jason Liebsch, a strong distance runner is off to a fast start. Senior Jerald Burton returns with State meet experience and some of the fastest sprints times in school history. A host of additional strong team members include Jimmy Boortz, Ryan Gifford, Karin Jackson, Mike Mandel, Brianna McGill and others round out a strong 2003 team.
